They key for me is how do you feel about it AFTER you've done it? If you feel resentful and put-upon, then likely it was not grace-based. I find myself definitely seeing duty and feeling obligation to fulfill that duty. Sometimes I know it will be difficult to follow through. Many times I truly delight in being obedient to the Lord (if I know my own heart which is questionable anyway!) but other times that delight is not there. I think that grace even empowers the times we don't necessarily delight in doing what we know is the right thing, nevertheless chose it anyway. What do you think?
